AB0055 BONE AND MINERAL DISORDERS IN RENAL HEMODIALYSIS PATIENTS
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Chronic kidney disease causes many mineral and bone disorders, secondary hyperpathyroidism, adynamic osteomalacia which can reduce the density (BMD). Objectives To analyze prevalence of osteoporosis in group patients with chronic renal failure to evaluate relation between (BMD) specific markers turnover hemodialysis (HD) population. Methods This is a cross sectional study conducted rheumatology department Taher Sfar university hospital mahdia, Tunisia. The involved 61 hemodialysis. they were invited participate included after signing informed consent until calculated sample size was reached. Patients asked undergo hip lumbar (L2-L4) densitometry by DXA measure Serum levels iPTH alkaline phosphatase (ALP) measured before dialysis session. Results studied 26 females (42,6%) 35 males (57.4%), there mean age 53.9 [17-83] years, duration 6,1 years. onset therapy 44.7 +/- 15.4 It diabetic nephropathy 25 cases (41%) vascular 15 tubulointerstitial 21 (34,4). 23 (37,7%) had using WHO criteria (T-score < -2,5), osteopenia 12 normal BMD. serum level BMD lower 167,84 vs 535,71 respectively. ALP 144,59 271,99 respectively (p<0,001). 4,57 years 6,55 Conclusion Our showed that common patients. main determinants PTH activity therapy. importance prevention treatment metabolic has become better appreciated. متن کاملBone Mineral Density in Hemodialysis Patients
Introduction Marked progress has been achieved in the management of hemodialysis (HD) in recent years; resulting in eliciting a new issue that renal osteodystrophy has become one of the most serious complications in these patients. Recently, non-invasive techniques to measure bone mineral density (BMD), such as dual photon absorptiometry, dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), and quantitativ...
